How long does delivery take?
Our products are normally dispatched the same day from our Melbourne warehouse. Deliveries to most capital cities can take up to 3 days. Special orders or out of stock items take longer- either way we’ll let you know as soon as your order is placed.
What is the default IP address, user name, password?
IP: 188.8.131.52, User Name: admin, Password: 12345, Port: 8000. Newer 4MP+ range cameras will prompt for a usename password upon activation.

How do I update my NVR’s Firmware?
In order to get the latest firmware contact our Tech Support or visit http://www.hikvision.com.
Download the latest firmware to a USB memory stick.
Insert the memory stick into the DVR’s USB port
From the main menu go to the “Maintenance” menu
From the Maintenance” menu click on “Firmware Upgrade”
From the file list highlight the appropriate file name and click on the Upgrade button (ex. DIGICAP.DAV).
Upon completion, the system will reboot and you should be back to the main menu.
Verify your camera and recording settings have not changed.
How can I gain access to my device remotely?
Simply input the IP address of your device in the URL of your web browser. (Note: You will need to download the Active-X plugin to view your cameras.), or download the PC software client IVMS-4200 from here.
Can see my device in IE but not in client software
In most cases when using the client software if you receive an error message when trying to preview your device it is a configuration error. Go back through the steps and make sure that the IP address, user name, password and subnet mask are all correct and try again
How come I can’t see my device in IE?
In most cases, if you input the IP address in the URL and a log-in screen does not appear it could be the device is not configured correctly, no ethernet connection is present or active-x in IE was not installed
How do I view my devices from a mobile phone?
I keep failing to login in via mobile device
Double check your password and user name, also ensure your DDNS service is correctly configured and reachable
Do all your devices support the phone app?
Yes, all Hikvision Digital NVR and IP Cam systems support the dual stream requirement needed for Mobile Application viewing, playback and even PTZ (pan tilt zoom)
Do Hikvision NVR’s support Hot Swapping HDD’s?
No, currently no Hikvision NVR’s support HDD Hot Swapping
What is the biggest Hard disk (HDD) I can use?
Currently, all Hikvision NVR’s support up to 6TB hard drives and most units can be fitted with 2 for either a maximus of 12TB continuous recording or 6TB plus 6TB redundancy
I get a Black screen when monitoring video feeds?
If viewing via browser, make sure the Active X plugin is installed when prompted. This means you will most likely have to use Internet Explorer to install the plugin
